The Department of Neurobiology, recently established as part of the unprecedented research expansion at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, has immediate openings for several junior (tenure-track) or senior (tenured) positions. The laboratories for the Department are housed on the 7th floor of a state-of-the-art, 340,000 sq ft research building that was completed in August, 2001.
The Department seeks individuals of outstanding potential who are investigating fundamental mechanisms of brain function. Specific areas of emphasis include molecular, cellular and developmental neurobiology. Women and under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. The positions are highly competitive with regard to start-up funds, laboratory space, and salary. Rank will be commensurate with ability and experience.
