Neonatal Procedures

The fellow during the NICU rotation or on-call is expected to perform all these procedures during their fellowship. The fellow is initially supervised by the attending Neonatologists and, if they can perform satisfactorily, they are allowed to perform these alone and/or to supervise the residents in these procedures. Since the attendings are actively involved in NICU rounds and on in-house call, they have close contact with the fellow and can judge their performance. These are part of the fellow's every 3 month evaluation.
