Our Vision

The UMASS Neurocritical Care Research team’s goal and vision is to improve the clinical care and the outcomes of critically ill patients with neurological emergencies through cutting edge research. Our clinical research laboratory, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Susanne Muehlschlegel, engages in NIH and industry-funded research to achieve this ultimate goal. We collaborate with national and international research teams. We also love to mentor trainees (UMass Chan medical students, residents, fellows, and visiting research scholars) to promote curiosity, scientific rigor, and share our love for neurocritical care. We invite you to explore our website and support our academic vision to benefit our patients.
