Leslie Harrold, MD, MPH
Dr. Harrold is a rheumatologist and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Her research interests focus on the management of patients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, improving medication adherence with arthritis therapies, and use of administrative databases to study large populations of patients with rheumatologic conditions.
Dr. Harrold's work has included identifying patients with arthritic conditions such as osteoarthritis, gout and Churg-Strauss syndrome using administrative data, assessing health utilization related to treatment of the underlying rheumatic condition, and examining medication management issues. She is currently examining gender-related differences in the epidemiology and treatment of patients with gout.
