• Notification: Important changes to access Clinical Follow-Me-Desktop (FMD) coming – Immediate action required

    Computers used to access the clinical FMD environment will be required to have a new software product called VMWare View installed in order to access the environment after March 29, 2017. 

     

    For University Owned Computers - On March 11, 2017, the Medical School IT department is deploying the required software to most university owned computers that need this software.  If your university owned computer does not receive this software, you may visit the IT SoftStore after March 17 to request an automatic installation of the software title “FMD Client”.

     

    For Student and/or Personally Owned Computers – Please visit this link to locate instructions for downloading and installing the software on your computer.

Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file

Note: Before the import process can take place all archive files need to be closed within the outlook client.

Close Archive File

  1. From within Outlook Select “File” from the menu ribbon. Archive Import File banner
  2. Click on the “Account Settings” button and select “Account Settings”. Account settings image
  3. Click on the “Data File” Tab. Data file tab
  4. Click on a .pst file and click remove. PST file image
  5. Repeat step 4 for every .pst file in the list.

Import Process

  1. From within Outlook Select “File” from the menu ribbon. Archive Import File banner
  2. Select "Open" or "Open & Export" from the menu options.

  3. Select “Import” or “Import/Export” option in the right hand window. Import export box
  4. From wizard choice the option “Import from another program or file” then click “Next”. Import export wizard
  5. Choice the option “Outlook Data File (.pst)” then click “Next”. Import a file
  6. Browse and select your archive pst file then click “Next”. Import Outlook data
  7. Click “Finish” and this will start the Import process. archive data
  8. Repeat the import process for each archive files which needs to be added to Office 365.

Note: During the import process you will not be able to use your Outlook client to access your email.
