TurningPoint Polling Technology is used to turn a passive lecture into an interactive experience for your audience. You can create PowerPoint lectures with polling questions imbedded or use TurningPoint AnyWhere which is a stand‐alone overlay application that runs concurrently with any application running on the desktop. Audience members can answer the presenter’s questions using a laptop, tablet, Smart phone or a TurningPoint ResponseCard. Results are displayed immediately.

The University of Massachusetts Medical School has a site license which allows anyone to use the application. The software is installed in all five amphitheaters, the iTLC, Faculty Conference Room and all Student Learning Community rooms. To reserve up to 150 ResponseCards and the radio frequency receiver which allows communication please contact the Information Services HelpDesk.

ResponseWare is a web‐enabled response option that lets your audience engage in TurningPoint presentations using laptops, tablets or Smart phones. Although all of our First and Second Year Students have ResponseWare licenses to participate, anyone can use ResponseWare and invite guests to participate in virtual polling. All current TurningPoint PowerPoint presentations are compatible with ResponseWare. No need to update your interactive presentation unless you would like to.
All faculty members who would like to use this TurningPoint software must request a Username and Password for the application through the HelpDesk.
