UMMS Style Guide for Organization of Content

Based on feedback from our students and working with our faculty groups, the univeristy has created a Style Guide for the delivery of online content. As a result, most of the courses housed within Bb Learn present a consistent look and organization of content.

Training and Support

Academic Computing offers weekly face-to-face classroom trainings as well as individual trainings via GoToMeeting. Training is not required for existing BLS Vista Instructor/Designer account holders; however, training is required for new users in BBLearn who need privileges to build and revise course content.  Register for our regularly scheduled Bb Learn Trainings. 

PDF tutorials and Captivate movies are also available for just-in-time refreshers.

Blackboard Learn Essentials and the UMMS Template (Duration: 1.5 hours)
Face-to-face, classroom-based training
Required For: Course Administrators, Faculty Designers
Timeframe and Frequency: Offered once per week.
Description: An introductory session to Bb Learn 9 and the UMMS Template with a hands-on component to allow practice uploading and managing content in Blackboard Learn.
