Pediatric Disaster Life Support (PDLS) prepares multidisciplinary hospital healthcare providers for general pediatric disaster care (triage assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation), the psychological impact of disaster, needed equipment, injury to children, pediatric disaster drills, and other topics.

Continuing Education Credit:
The University of Massachusetts Medical School is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The UMMS designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This offering meets the requirements for 16.8 contact hours for nurses as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in nursing (244-CMR 5.04). Each nurse should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Other professionals will be eligible for 14 continuing education hours from the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Such disclosure will be made available on the day of the program.
Pediatric Disaster Life Support classes are non-refundable when you cancel 2 weeks prior to the course date or after course materials have been mailed (approximately 30 days prior to the course). However, you may transfer to another class, if arrangements are made 10 days prior to the original class date. Classes must be paid in full in order to receive a certification card and continuing education credit(s). A certification card will be distributed upon the signature of the state chair to your home addresses when you have successfully completed the course and have paid for the course in full.
