UMMS, one of the fastest growing academic health centers in the country, has built a reputation as a world- class research institution, consistently producing noteworthy advances in clinical and basic research. The school attracts more than $255 million in research funding annually, 80% of which comes from federal funding sources. Research funding enables UMMS scientists to explore human disease from the molecular level to large-scale clinical trials. The basic and clinical research performed at UMMS has led to new approaches for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
<NAME OF APPLICANT> is being offered the position of Resident Physician <PGY LEVEL> within the <DEPARTMENT NAME> at UMMS. <NAME OF APPLICANT> will participate in our educational and clinical program, admit patients, conduct complete histories and physical examinations of patients, as well as follow the course of the patients’ illnesses in the Hospital under the direction of teaching staff or attending physicians. In light of these demanding tasks, a candidate for the position of Resident Physician <PGY LEVEL> is required to possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree, an Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates’ Certificate (ECFMG), and proof of passing USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3.
