The Agreement entered into by the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the New England Police Benevolent Association will set forth procedures for the equitable resolution of grievances, the terms and conditions of employment with respect to wages and working conditions, and means by which the parties may consult periodically on mutually perceived problems. To that end, the parties recognize the importance of dealing with one another with mutual respect and dignity.
The University of Massachusetts Medical School recognizes the New England Police Benevolent Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the purpose of establishing wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for all full-time and regular part-time University Police Officers (UPO’s) and Sergeants and Lieutenants (Ranking Officers) as established by the Division of Labor Relations Certification SCR-08-2266.
