Graduate Medical Education

Graduate Medical Education (GME) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) consists of 50 accredited programs from anesthesiology to vascular surgery, 538 residents and fellows, over 2,500 full-time and community-based faculty, an academic medical center, affliated teaching hospitals and community health centers, and a growing number of private office and group practices. As a teaching institution, UMMS has received the highest approval rating from the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
