The goal of our training program is to develop endocrinologists of superior clinical and academic caliber. The divisions of Endocrinology and Diabetes offer two fellowship tracks: a two-year clinical fellowship and a three-year research fellowship. Both tracks provide fellows with an outstanding clinical experience in Endocrinology and Diabetes. The research track includes a year of dedicated research, and is ideal for trainees who intend to pursue an academic career.
Training occurs primarily at the University Campus, with up to 5 months of the fellowship spent rotating in the Memorial Campus. Our hospitals service Central Massachusetts and beyond. Visit the UMass Memorial Health Care Systems website to learn about the communities we serve.
The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). All recent graduates have successfully passed the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty certification examinations in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and have been successful in finding careers in both academic and clinical practice.
