Dr. Schmidt is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Co-Director of Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine. He trained in Emergency Medicine at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dr. Schmidt is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.  His interests include undergraduate medical education, pain management and Emergency Medical Services.
