Interfaith Observances Planning Calendar

Interfaith Observances Planning Calendar.pdf UMMHC and UMMS respect religious differences and acknowledge that genuine conflict may exist between an observance and scheduled meetings and events.  State and federal law require that we make reasonable accommodation to the religious needs of employees. The law also allows that such accommodations honor the primacy of our commitment to patient care and business needs, and not unduly burden other employees or disproportionately affect the religious observer.  This Interfaith Observer Planning Calendar lists major religious holidays, but does not include all religious holidays observed by every faith. It is intended to encourage consideration of these days of observance when scheduling meetings and events.
