Spoken Word for Healing Open Mic Night

Posted On: Tuesday, November 22, 2016 Posted By: Diversity Office Tags: Events

QMass and SNMA will be hosting a Spoken Word for Inclusion Open Mic Night on Tuesday, November 29th. The event will provide a space for healing, reflection, respectful expression of emotion, and garnering of hope for our students of color, LGBT students, and all other members of the UMass Community. This event will take place in the Albert Sherman Center Multipurpose Room from 6 to 8 PM.  Students are encouraged to perform poetry, prose, music, and storytelling.

During this post-election season, we invite you to join together to embrace our nation’s core values and principles of democracy. We hope you will join us for an evening of pizza, poetry, and most importantly, potluck dessert.
