Community-Based Provider Network
UMass Medical School's Disability Evaluation Services relies on a community-based network of professional providers to effectively and efficiently perform consultative examinations when indicated for disability applicants. These providers bring years of professional experience and specialized expertise to each clinical encounter.
The Disability Evaluation Services Provider Network currently has approximately 175 physicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists across the state of Massachusetts. They conduct approximately 20,000 consultative examinations annually. Additionally, there is a subset of psychologists in the provider network that provides comprehensive intelligence and achievement testing for the Learning Disability Assessment Program, also administered by Disability Evaluation Services.

Providers work from their own offices and on location at several Department of Transitional Assistance offices in Hyannis, Boston, and Springfield, Mass. Disability Evaluation Services periodically updates its provider network regarding changes to state and federal regulations, upcoming professional conferences, and other pertinent events.
All providers are appropriately credentialed and licensed in the state(s) in which they practice.
