Dermatopathology Fellowship
Our dermatopathology fellowship is an ACGME-accredited, two-year program geared to prepare individuals for an academic career in Dermatopathology. The program is jointly sponsored by the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. During the first year, the fellow is expected to participate in our daily dermatopathology sign-out and teaching conferences, in both the pathology and dermatology departments. In addition, the fellow with pathology training is required to spend 6 months participating in dermatology clinical service including outpatient clinics, biopsies, and Mohs surgery. The fellow with dermatology training is required to spend 6 months in the surgical pathology service including specimen grossing, case sign-out, and laboratory training. In the second year, the emphasis is on independent case sign-out to gain additional experience in dermatopathology and the pursuit of an in depth research project. view webpage
