BSN to PhD Pathway Program Admissions

Requirements for Admission

Admission requirements for BSN to PhD Pathway students are:

• GPA of 3.0 or higher;
• GREs of 1,000 or greater;
• three academic references;
• application statement demonstrating goal of becoming nurse scientist;
• for students entering with a bachelor’s degree, RN licensure is required on admission. For students entering from the GEP program, progression in the first year of the BSN to PhD Program requires RN licensure; and
• documentation of at least 500 clinical hours as a registered nurse either before enrollment or a written plan to complete these clinical hours concurrently (and part-time) with the coursework.
