Fellowships

Our fellowships offer opportunities for applicants to explore specific areas of interest beyond their residency.  Sports Medicine is a one-year fellowship leading to CAQ eligibility.  Joint training is possible in family medicine and Preventive Medicine leading to a Masters degree in Public Health and family medicine board eligibility.

We are pleased to offer two new fellowships:  Geriatrics, a collaboration between Family Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine Division of Geriatrics, and an exciting fellowship in Hospital Medicine.  Hospital Medicine is currently recruiting fellowship candidates; we anticipate that the Geriatrics program will begin accepting fellows in 2009.

Our Clinical Faculty Development Center sponsors a part-time Faculty Development Fellowship for academic physicians planning careers as family medicine educators.

The two-year full-time Post Doctoral Fellowship in Primary Care Psychology prepares clinical and counseling psychologists to work in clinical, research, and training settings associated with primary medical care. Also offered is a BehavioralHealth Certificate Program.

Worcester, centrally located in Massachusetts, is the second largest city in New England.  Our central geographic location offers convenient access to a wide-range of educational facilities and diverse cultural events.

Please contact our fellowship directors if you are seeking additional information on one or more programs.
