Provider Compliance

Ensuring financial compliance under Medicaid is a complex process that taxes the resources of many state and local agencies. Commonwealth Medicine’s Center for Health Care Financing conducts detailed audits to ensure clients’ Medicaid reimbursements conform to regulatory mandates.

These audits include: 

  • Ensuring only allowable costs are included in Medicaid cost reports
  • Identifying credit balances where overpayments have been made.

Further, Commonwealth Medicine offers provider compliance services. Using large databases, algorithms and  data-mining technology, we are able to quickly identify aberrant behavior, overpayments, and potential fraud and abuse activities.
