Project Management
With public health agencies across the country facing tight budget limitations, it is vital that every health care dollar is spent wisely, with maximum return on the investment. In pursuit of this goal, Commonwealth Medicine has developed an internal system to complement the deep project management experience of our staff, and assure clients that our programs are executed as efficiently and competently as possible.
The mission of the Project Management Office (PMO) is to create a common language, methodology, processes, guidelines, tools and templates to achieve results. These initiatives, along with internal training and certification programs for staff, means all Commonwealth Medicine programs are operated with the highest level of competency and according to project management best practices. The end result for clients is increased, measurable efficiency across the board.
In support of its efforts to establish, grow and sustain consistent project management best practices across the organization, the PMO provides several important services, such as:
Consulting and mentoring
Standardized processes, guidelines, tools and templates
Development, deployment and institutionalization of the Commonwealth Medicine Project Management Guide
Database of lessons learned and best practices
Quality assurance
Measures and metrics
Project management community of practice
