OCME Advisory Board
During 1992, a CME Advisory Committee (CMEAC) was formed with representation from across the academic health center. This Committee was charged with the responsibilities of:
- Guidance: assist with designing the changing role of CME in the emerging health care environment
- Policy Development: assist with the UMMS policy initiatives for CME and with/interpretation of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education policy regarding documentation and compliance;
- Liaison: act as a bridge between medical school Academic Departments, the Medical Education staff, and the Office of Continuing Education.
