UMass Medical School’s Center for Health Policy and Research provides in-depth policy analysis to help public health organizations develop and implement best practices and deliver them to target populations.

Key Activities

Developmental Disabilities Research
We provide research and support services to public health and managed care agencies serving populations with developmental and intellectual disabilities.  Our team is known as the Center for Developmental Disabilities Evaluation and Research (CDDER), located at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center.

Disability and Employment Policy
Our work includes evaluating and promoting programs, policies, and practices that enhance employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.  Funded projects include the Massachusetts Medicaid Infrastructure and Comprehensive Employment Opportunities (MI-CEO) grant and a Work Incentive Planning and Assistance (WIPA) grant.
