Meeting the Moment, Meeting Your Life: Mindfulness in Action
4 Week Program
The development of a mindfulness practice allows us to access more clarity and choice in our lives. Whether we’re frustrated with our relationships, overwhelmed with financial worries, or facing health issues, there are fresh ways of perceiving our lives—and resources to tap into that are innate and available inside of us. Mindfulness cultivates these inner resources, and in this series of four classes, along with learning several mindfulness practices, we will focus on the areas of emotional resiliency, coping, and communication.
Through reflection, small and large group discussions, and in-class activities we’ll explore our habitual reactivity in these areas and learn how, with mindfulness, to move towards greater freedom and choice.
Weekly topics will include, but not be limited to:
- Stress Reactivity and the Mind-Body Connection, and Perception
- Noting all the moments: Pleasant, Unpleasant & Neutral, Emotional Resiliency & Coping, and Coming out of Auto Pilot
- Mindful Communication
- The Full Catastrophe: Putting it all together
