Charles Nelson, a graduate student in Eric Baehrecke’s lab, was honored by being selected as 1 of 6 students to speak at the Annual UMass Basic Science Research Retreat held on January 28-29, 2013. Charles presented his talk titled “miR-14 Regulates Autophagy During Cell Death via Inositol, 1,4,5-Triphosphate Kinase-2”. Tsun-Kai Kevin Chang, also a student in Eric Baehrecke’s lab, won the Dan Mullen Best Poster Award for his poster on “Uba1 Functions in Atg7-independent Autophagy”. Congratulations to both Charles and Kevin!
