The Multiple Sclerosis Center at UMASS Memorial Health Care
Patients are seen in the UMass Memorial Multiple Sclerosis Center for evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and other immune mediate diseases, including CNS Lupus, Neurosarcoidosis, Vasculitis, and Neuro-HIV infection. We provide comprehensive, compassionate care using the best available treatments. We are committed to teaching patients and doctors about MS and developing and testing new treatments to help MS patients. We provide spasticity management by ITB pump and Botulinium Toxin treatment. We work closely with Fairlawn and Whittier Rehabilitation Hospitals as well as community based services to meet the needs of our patients. Along with our clinical services, we are also actively involved in community education programs, as well as providing educational opportunities for medical students, residents and fellows.
The UMMHC Multiple Sclerosis Center is affiliated with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

MS Journey of Hope
The UMass Memorial Medical Center MS Center will be taking part in the MS Journey of Hope in Natick, MA on May 22, 2010. Research Updates- Our research division has been hard at work bringing new studies through the approval process. We are now recruiting for the ADVANCE Study, ACT-128800, and the Accelerated Cure Project, with more clinical trials expected to be added soon. Our goal is to continually seek research projects which are well planned and allow us to be on the cutting edge of new MS medication and treatments.
