STATA Workshops

Goals of the series: This series seeks to provide hands on experience learning the ins and outs of STATA for basic statistical analyses. Topics will include how to organize your work in STATA, recoding variables, and merging files. Attendees will learn how to use STATA as a calculator and how to create useful graphs. Statistical techniques including linear regression, logistic regression and survival analysis will be covered. Attending all of this series and the biostatistics workshops (or equivalent training) is required for students entering CTS603A in the fall.

Who should attend? This series is designed to be open to all trainees interested in developing their biostatistics expertise at an introductory level including undergraduates, graduate students, medical students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, or faculty members at any rank. You can register for one, some, or all educational sessions. Attendees are expected to bring laptops with STATA to workshops. After registration, if you need to withdraw please email: bootcamp@umassmed.edu.
