Biostatistics

Goals of the series: This series seeks to provide an introductory foundation in common analytic techniques used in clinical research. The series provides opportunity to gain competency in basic statistical techniques including t-tests, analysis of variance, non-parametric tests, multiple linear regression, logistic regression, and survival analysis. Three articles from the medical literature will be used to stimulate discussion on the use of multiple linear regression, logistic regression, and survival analysis. Attending all of this series and the STATA workshops (or equivalent training) is required for students entering CTS603A in the fall.

Who should attend? This series is open to all trainees interested in developing their biostatistics expertise at an introductory level including undergraduates, graduate students, medical students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, or faculty members at any rank. You can register for one, some, or all educational sessions. After registration, if you need to withdraw please email: bootcamp@umassmed.edu.
