Commonwealth Medicine names new Deputy Chief Operating Officer

Nov. 9, 2009 — Patti Onorato, R.N., M.S., A.P.N., has been appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Commonwealth Medicine, the health care consulting division of UMass Medical School. In addition to overseeing many of the organization’s key business operations, she will provide overall management of our service delivery programs. By directing the day-to-day operations of specific program and support areas, as well as managing pertinent strategic planning implementation, she will play a key role in the coordination of new business initiatives.

Ms. Onorato has held several roles at Commonwealth Medicine, most recently serving as Executive Director of UMass Correctional Health and Criminal Justice, our largest and most complex service delivery program. Before joining Commonwealth Medicine, she was the Vice President of Women and Children’s Services and Associate Chief Nursing Officer at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
