Etiology and prevention of communicable diseases, chronic diseases, occupational/environmental conditions, injuries, accidents, pre-natal and peri-natal conditions
Models of individual and group health-related behavior and behavior modification, methods for individual, community and population based needs assessment
Models for community organizing and advocacy, strategies for increasing access to primary and preventive care, methods for improving quality of care
Impact of managed care on access to preventive services, access to preventive services in special populations
Research methods appropriate for studying health promotion and disease prevention, including descriptive, cross-sectional, case control, prospective and retrospective cohort studies and clinical trials
Models for administration and management of public health programs, including budgetary, financial and personnel management
History, organization, function, economics and politics of the public health and medical care systems in Massachusetts and the USA
Global health care issues and strategies for addressing lack of access to primary and preventive services in developing countries
