PreK – 12 Mathematics & Science Curriculum Resource Library

Overview

The Regional Science Resource Center houses an on-site Curriculum Library as well as Math Graphic Organizers available electronically. The goal of the on-site Curriculum Library is to help districts select, pilot, and implement mathematics and science standards-based curricula that fulfill the objectives outlined in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Standards-based curriculum, as defined by the Massachusetts’ Department of Education, is a set of instructional materials and teaching practices that enable all students the access and opportunity to know and be able to understand and apply essential knowledge and skills identified in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

The Curriculum Library has mathematics and science standards-based curriculum materials, professional development books, and parent information resources that are available for loan for up to eight weeks.

The Math Graphic Organizers were created as a resource for mathematics teachers of grades 5 through 12.  The goal is to provide support in learning mathematics for all students--general education, special education, English language learners, and gifted and talented.

The Graphic Organizers, Graphs and Stories, and Math Labs and Learning Stations folders contain lessons and activities created by teachers from Leominster, MA public schools and other schools throughout the area.  The Advanced Placement Calculus folder contains lessons and activities shared through the AP Calculus Network at University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Regional Science Resource Center.
