Cancer Biology trainees awarded Fellowships

Justine Roderick, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in Michelle Kelliher's lab, was awarded an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship to support her research on "GSI treatment in relapsed T-ALL and mechanisms of GSI resistance". Jose Mercado-Matos, an MD/PhD student in Leslie Shaw's lab, was awarded an NIH F31 Predoctoral Fellowship to promote diversity in the health sciences. This fellowship will support his research on "The impact of IRS2-microtubule interactions on the progression of breast cancer". Justine and Jose are members of the Translational Cancer Biology Training Program and were previously supported by this NIH-funded training grant (T32). Congratulations Justine and Jose!
