Meet Our Hahnemann Residents!



Chantal Dewey, MD is a 2013 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and holds a number of additional degrees. She earned her BA in Health Sciences from Brandeis University in 2007, her MA in Medical Sciences from Boston University in 2008 and her MPH in Epidemiology from Boston University in 2009. Chantal has traveled to both Haiti and the Dominican Republic and social justice is one of her interests. 


Mark Fitzgerald, MD graduated in 2013 from UMass Medical School and earned his BS in Biochemistry from UMass Amherst in 2009. Mark is a Needham native and in addition to an interest in teaching, he also has a passion for palliative care and geriatrics. 




Anna McMahan, MD graduated in 2013 from UMass Medical School and earned her BA in Mathematics from Harvard College in 1999. Originally from Tennessee, Anna worked as an Annuities Manager at John Hancock Financial Services for several years prior to beginning medical school. She was a member of FMIG at UMass.


Jeffrey Wacks, MD is a 2013 graduate of Tufts School of Medicine who also earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Tufts University in 2009. Jeff matriculated to medical school through an early admission program at Tufts. He was a member of his school's FMIG chapter and a member of the medical school Admissions Committee.




Mary Cooper, MD, is a 2012 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and earned her BA in Art History from Dartmouth College in 2007. She also completed her MA in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at University of Pittsburgh in 2012. Mary is interested in women’s health and outside of academics, enjoys gardening and hiking. 


Marissa Hamrick, MD, graduated in 2012 from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Marissa was born and raised in Alaska and graduated from Boston University in 2006 with a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She worked at Mass General in clinical and bench research prior to medical school. She is conversational in Spanish and was a member of her school's Medical School Admissions Committee. Marissa also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine during a month in Beijing during fourth year of med school. Her interests include women's and adolescent health.


Laura Hill, MD, is a 2012 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia who was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Georgia, completing her Genetics degree in 2008. Laura served for two years on her medical school's Honor Court, including as President. She is interested in working with the underserved and her outside interests include playing guitar and dancing. Laura is also a member of our residency's Global Health Track. 


Farah Khan, MD comes to us from Tufts University School of Medicine, Class of 2012. She graduated in 2008 from Brandeis University with a BS in Biochemistry and Biology. A native of Bangladesh, Farah was a member of the Family Medicine Interest Group at Tufts and is interested in behavioral health and working with adolescents and the underserved. She grew up in central MA and enjoys music and baking.


Jeanna Spannring, PhD

Jeanna grew up in Montana and received her BA in psychology and philosophy from St. Catherine University in Minnesota in 2001. She recently earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University with a focus in child and family therapy and evidence-based practice for the treatment of traumatic stress. She completed her clinical internship at Colorado West Mental Health outpatient in Grand Junction, CO where she successfully conducted a pilot study of a protocol for the treatment of chronic pain. Jeanna enjoys watching and playing team sports as well as cooking and baking in her free time. Jeanna will be in the health center most days of the week; she will have open appointments starting in October



Serena Hon, MD is a 2011 graduate from University of Rochester School of Medicine and earned her BA in Biology from Brown University in 2006. She was co-leader of her school's FMIG chapter and is fluent in Spanish. Serena enjoys running and performance dance of all kinds. Serena is also a member of the residency's Global Health Track. 


Bency Louidor-Paulynice, MD graduated in 2011 from UMass Medical School and earned her BS in Biology from UMass-Amherst in 2006. Bency is fluent in French, Haitian-Creole and Spanish and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist prior to medical school. She has strong interests in serving the underserved population, international health and addiction medicine. Bency’s personal interests include kickboxing, hosting and photography.


Bronwyn Sing, DO, Chief Resident, graduated in 2011 from Western University of Health Sciences in California. She earned her BS in Health Systems Administration in 2004 as well as her MS in Physiology from Georgetown University in 2006. Bronwyn has a strong interest in health care delivery and access. She has been active in student government and her personal interests include running, hiking and snowboarding.


Amanda Vitko, MD is a 2011 graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine and earned her BA in Chemistry from Wesleyan University in 2005. Amanda’s areas of interest include women’s health and geriatrics. She is a California native and enjoys reading and baking.
