Edward J. Keohane
Vice Chancellor for Communications
Edward J. Keohane is Vice Chancellor for Communications at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. In this role, Keohane is responsible for all internal and external communications, including media relations, web communications, executive communications, and brand management. His team produces the Medical School’s online news portal UMassMedNow (umassmed.edu/news) and the UMassMed Magazine. Keohane is the chief spokesperson for the Medical School. He reports directly to Chancellor Collins and sits on the Chancellor’s senior staff. Prior to joining the Medical School in January 2010, Keohane worked as a New York-based producer for CNN. He produced the network’s weekday morning show. Earlier in his career, Keohane worked as a broadcast journalist at WCVB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Boston.
