Women's Health
A four-week block of the intern year is devoted to Women's Health, and is spent at a busy Obstetrics and Gynecology practice associated with HealthAlliance Hospital. During this rotation, interns have the opportunity to conduct routine OB visits, become proficient at speculum exams and Pap Smears, participate in deliveries and C-Sections, perform colposcopy and other office-based Gynecologic procedures, and learn about urodynamics.

The attending OB/Gyn physicians who create this experience for our residents show true dedication to teaching through participation and discussion. The intern's responsibility during this month is simply to learn and gain hands-on experience in Women's Health, which makes it an invaluable asset when preparing to approach these Obstetric and Gynecologic issues in a primary care setting.
