Abby Svenson joined the Center for Psychopharmacologic Research and Treatment at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in July 2010. She is the primary study coordinator for Kristina Deligiannidis, MD and Wendy Marsh, MD.
Abby received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tufts University in 2007.
Abby began her career in research in 2007 at the Miriam Hospital’s Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine, an affiliate of Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. During her years there, starting as a Research Assistant and then Intervention Coordinator, Abby conducted clinical interviews with pregnant/postpartum women, and administered infant neurobehavioral exams for studies examining the effects of smoking and depression during pregnancy on infant and fetal behavior.
Currently, she coordinates research studies on depression, postpartum depression, and bipolar disorder.
