Wendy Trafton, M.P.H.
Wendy Trafton joined UMass Medical School's Commonwealth Medicine in 2008 and joined the Center for Health Law and Economics in 2012. Her project work is focused on long-term services and supports (LTSS) including financing and delivery, systems change initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. From 2008-2010, she was an advisor to CHLE providing analytic support to the state's Long-Term Care Financing Advisory Committee. She was also an analyst for the state's Transformation Grant.
From 2010-2011, Ms. Trafton provided support to MassHealth during development of the Commonwealth's Money Follows the Person (MFP) operational protocol document and worked on components of the MFP Demonstration implementation efforts. She also assisted in program improvement activities related to the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant Program.
Currently, Ms. Trafton is the Project Director for the Massachusetts State Profile Tool (SPT) grant and is providing support to MassHealth's proposed Demonstration to Integrate Care for Dual Eligible individuals.
Ms. Trafton holds a master's in public health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management from Boston University School of Public Health, and a bachelor's degree in American Studies and Political Science from University of Colorado at Boulder.
