- About UMass Medical
There are a number of avenues open to corporations and foundations to participate in UMMS and UMMHC special projects, educational programs, research activities and community events.
Today, more than at any other time, the relationships between corporations, health organizations and research institutions are being closely examined by the public and the professional associations of both industry and medicine. In order to develop and maintain optimal relationships – those in which both sides have the opportunity to prosper and benefit – CFR stands ready to work with you to achieve the goals of all parties.
Numerous community health-related and ongoing service-oriented opportunities are offered for sponsorship and fundraising. Many activities and events are held annually and offer wide exposure to a variety of constituencies. CFR staff will advise on which events and projects offer the best fit for your company and budget. Use the links at left to investigate the possibilities in depth and contact our staff to help develop a plan for your participation.
For those specifically interested in clinical trials, UMass Medicine is currently engaged in the most ambitious development of translational medicine in its history. The establishment of the Clinical and Translational Science Center and the Advanced Therapeutics Cluster (ATC), to be located in the $405 million Albert Sherman Center (under construction), will transform both the campus and the research and care environment. The ATC will include the Center for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, the RNA Therapeutics Institute and the Gene Therapy Center – all conducting active clinical trials at UMMS.
