United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)

UMass Chan Medical School requires that all medical students take Step 1 and Step 2 CK of the USMLE. A grade of pass is not required for promotion. However, students are required to pass both exams and release results to the institution for graduation.

Applications for the Step 1 and Step 2 Examinations

• Applications are available on the National Board of Medical Examiners Website URL: www.usmle.org
• Completed applications are certified by the Registrar.
• Examination scores are sent directly to the student from the National Board of Medical Examiners.
