Faculty Reviews

The University of Massachusetts and the UMass Chan Medical School have developed several academic review mechanisms to assess faculty and academic departments and programs. In accordance with University policy, the OFA oversees the following review procedures:

• Annual Performance Review: annual review of faculty performance.
• Mini-Tenure Review: review of tenure-track faculty conducted in the fifth year on the tenure track.
• Periodic Multi-Year Review (PMYR) of Tenured Faculty: post-tenure reviews conducted every seven years.
